Optimize High Voltage to SELV Performance While Eliminating 48V Battery and Super Caps

Effectively converting high voltage battery power (800V or 400V) to SELV requires a power delivery network (PDN) that is compact, lightweight and has a reinforced isolation barrier. The PDN also needs fast bidirectional conversion to support new system requirements for regenerative loads. Traditional DC-DC converters are limited by switching frequency resulting in bigger and heavier magnetic components, higher power losses, and lack of full power regeneration.

Learn how high density power modules, using soft switching topology at frequencies >1.4 MHz can downsize the PDN, enhance efficiency and improve overall performance. Additionally, symmetrical bidirectional power conversion can support high power regenerative loads transferring power back to the battery.
